How CLIEAIR thinks about this
You do not need to be a lawyer to file. The official channels listed here are designed to be used by members of the public — by you, the person who was actually affected.
CLIEAIR provides three things on every channel:
- The official URL — go look at it yourself, on the agency's site.
- The complaint path — the specific form or page to start a complaint.
- The applicable rule — the statute or rule of professional conduct that governs the official.
CLIEAIR does not editorialize about whether the conduct you experienced rises to a violation. The channel makes that determination. Your job is to file accurately; their job is to investigate.
If you want CLIEAIR to draft your complaint: open your evidence vault and look at the action cards. CLIEAIR will pre-fill the complaint using your case facts. You read it, edit if you want, download it, file it.
Standing disclaimer: These are official complaint channels. CLIEAIR has not verified the conduct of any individual official. Most channels investigate in confidentiality. The complainant should consult counsel before filing if the matter is complex.
